I am the first stop on the hop, so be prepared to be dazzled by all the gorgous creations along the way =)

Here is my FLOWERY card! It was super-easy to make and I love it =) I used my favorite color combo (pink and green) and added a layer of sparkly flower petals and a sparkly center to the flower.

March Blog Hop at Scrapbook Place!

It is time for our monthly blog hop at Scrapbook Place. This month was "wild card" month, meaning you can create anything you want =)
If you came to my blog first, you are going to want to go back to Linda's fantastic blog and start from there. If you hopped here from Donna's creative blog you are on the right track.
So, since today is my sister's birthday ~ her golden birthday at that...27 years old on March 27th! And tomorrow is her hubby's birthday, I am featuring the cards I made for them =)

The first card is for my brother-in-law. He coaches high school football and baseball, but since baseball season just started this past month for him, I decided to get Kip out and make a card for my brother-in-law. (yes, in case you are wondering, those are what their baseball uniforms look like, and I drew a B on the orange hat, so it looks like their hats).
The card for my sister has one of my favorite girls on it ~ Bella! And of course since it was birthday, I got out some of my sparkly paper and got busy ~ I even paper-pieced a gift to add a little pizzazz to her card =)

March Magnolia-licious Blog Hop

Yes, it is that time again ~ the 25th of the month, which means it is time for the Magnolia-licious Blog Hop!

If you arrived here from the Lauren's beautiful blog, you are on the right track! If you just happened upon my blog, you are going to want to start at the beginning, so you don't miss a single one of these lovely cards! And if for some chance you become lost along the blog, you can always head to the main blog which will have ALL the addresses of the participants =)

Now, onto my Christmas card of the year ~ which yes it still DOES feel like wintery Christmas around here (we are SOOOO ready for spring!). I decided to go with a simple sketch and tried to use minimal colors with some accent (can you tell the red is the accent?) I had originally planned on paper-piecing Tilda's dress with some beautiful glittery cardstock, but wouldn't you just know it (and yes, knowing MY luck.....), I cut my finger at pretty much the *end* of the paper-piecing endeavor and bled on the beautiful cardstock. So I ended up putting some stickles on her white dress and giving her gold wings instead =)

Manly Card

I'll admit it.....I'm not real good at making "manly cards" ~ all my cards tend to be sparkly, flowery...you get the picture =)
But then I saw the Corrosive challenge to use buttons and it worked oh so perfectly with the sketch from Sketch Saturday and I found some not-too-sparkly paper that I could pass off as manly =)

Yes, crappy scanner picture, I know ~ if anyone has a good idea of where to look for my camera battery charger (that has been MIA since right after Christmas) I'm ALL ears! =)

Stamp: Mark Twain
DP: DCWV The Linen Collection
Inks: Memento Chocolate
Embellishments: Misc. ribbon, Misc. buttons, brown waxy floss.

Mojo Monday ~ on Wednesday!

Yes, it is Wednesday ~ and since we had a lovely 18 inches of snow fall overnight (yup, we most definitely had a blizzard!) the boys don't have school today, I don't have school today and my husband doesn't have work today! You know it is bad when the snow plows are getting stuck!
So, while I am "stuck" at home, I thought I'd create some cards! Heaven knows that I don't have much time for "me" this semester.....that is what taking Microbiology does to you....the only pretty colors I get to see are the bacteria I am staining and examining under the mircoscope!
I used the sketch from Mojo Monday to create my square card =)

I promise you it looks much better in person....but until I can locate my blasted battery charger, I have to keep using the scanner =/
