This is not scrapping-related at all, but it is something that I truly believe EVERYONE needs to see. You will be touched beyond words and emotion.
Have a blessed Christmas.

PMS Blog Hop!
Welcome to the Paper Makeup Stamps December Fan Blog Hop (whew! That is a mouthful!)
If you are coming from Lisa Kind's beautiful blog you are on the right path. If not, start at the PMS Blog and work your way through all the amazing creations.
My card is very simple ~ it is my "prototype" for my Christmas cards...I wanted it to be nice, but not too complicated because with finals this week (yup, I'm *still* in college) things are very hectic around here...and next week is Christmas parties at the boys' school...how can December be flying by THIS fast?!?
I absolutely LOVE this stamp ~ I decided to emboss it, so it is a sparkly gold.
Now that you have viewed my contribution to the hop, it is time to send you on your way to the fabulous blog of Michelle!

The Corrosive Challenge #86 ~ Get Rid of the White
The Corrosive Challenge Blog has a very interesting challenge up...no white on your card! In case you are wondering, my favorite nestie is the sunflower one because sunflowers are my most favoritest flower EVER!

September Edition of the Christmas All Year Long Magnolia-licious Blog Hop
Welcome to the September edition of the Magnolia-licious Christmas All Year Long Blog Hop! If you arrived here from Kathy's blog you are on the right track =)
It feels like it has been forever since I was able to get a card created for the blog hop.....silly me thought I'd have more time during summer break....and now with two of my three littles in school....ummm yeah, that didn't work...instead I took on a friend's kids, so I have four extras in the mornings....and in the evenings I go to school (finishing my BSN). But I decided I was going to MAKE time for me to do something I love to do =) So, here is my simple Christmas card.
The layout I used came from Friday Sketchers
I used flowersoft on Frosty's hat and the snow at the bottom of the image. There are Crystal Stickles on the snowflake (no sun here for over two days, so it is hard to see the sparkles) and a dabbed a few stickles here and there on Frosty (because we all know how beautiful fresh clean snow is!)
Thank you so much for stopping by ~ now it is time to hop on over to Monique's blog for your next stop =) And if you get stuck on a blog, you can always go to the Magnolia-licious Christmas blog for the complete blog hop list =)

Awesome Blog Candy!
Here is some blog candy to get EXCITED about! Lelia is giving away this AMAZING stash....I know it would satisfy my "sweet tooth" for awhile =)
Head on over to her blog to get all the deets!
Hopefully I'll get more time to dust off my crafting supplies and my blog. Right now I'm watching some littles (aka small children) from 7am - noon, five days a week, studying in the afternoons during my youngest son's naptime (which falls between picking up my second son from kindergarten ~ he's done at noon and my oldest son from first grade ~ he's done around 3:30pm) and going to school two nights a week! I am sure missing my craft room =(

Magnolia-licious Christmas All Year Long Blog Hop
Welcome to the June edition of the Magnolia-licious Christmas All Year Long Blog Hop!
If you have arrived here from Lauren's Blog you are on the right track =)
I created the Christmas card this month using a simple sketch and decided to "pop" Tilda off of the card (I've tried the masking technique and for some reason the Christmas tree NEVER turns out ~ very frustrating! So I decided to give it a 3-D effect using some foam adhesive dots.
It's kind of hard to see, but I used stickles on her wings and some ornaments and on the Christmas tree I sparkled it up using a clear spica pen and an olive spica pen.

Mother's Day
WOW oh WOW! I can't believe the last time I updated my blog was MARCH! Oh how embarrassing! I guess that is what happens when the scrap room is "under construction" ~ HA!
I did dig out some of my scrappin' goodies though to make a couple Mother's Day cards ~ one for my mom, one for my mother-in-law and a spare one (hey ~ with three kids and a puppy, *things* tend to happen to my cards ~ grrrr! For one, my youngest has become a pint-sized Picasso and LOVES to help me color my images...)
Here are the cards:

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics (can't remember the exact ones)
Paper: BG, DCWV Glitter MatStack, Bazzill Bling.

Magnolia-licious Christmas All Year Long Blog Hop
Welcome to the March edition of the Magnolia-licious Christmas All Year Long Blog Hop!
If you have arrived here from Leonie's blog you are on the right track =)
I created the Christmas card this month for a friend ~ when she saw this stamp she asked me to make a Christmas card for her friend whose daughters all play the violin *very well* =) This darling Tilda image was a promotion offered through the Magnolia-Licious Store so I don't believe she can be purchased.
I made an easel card ~ I tried to snap a picture in the sun so all the sparkles would show, but the pictures just don't do a card justice if it is glittery and sparkly ~ Tilda has sparkles on her dress, violin and wings =)

Mercy's Tuesday Sketch
I used Mercy's Tuesday Sketch for something that is near and dear to my heart ~ comforting a babyloss mom. I, myself am a babyloss mom so I know the complete devastation of losing a child ~ how your soul shatters and is never quite whole again. My hope is to bring a little comfort into the darkness and to let her know there are other mamas, just like her, who are in this heart-breaking club, and we are there for her, to help her in anyway we can.
The stamped image is from Paper Makeup Stamps and is a charity stamp, meaning all the proceeds go to Kayleigh's family ~ you can go here if you would like to meet Kayleigh.

JUGS sketch challenge
Sheesh ~ it has once again been FOREVER since I updated my blog....this time I have a good excuse though (I really do!) ~ our card reader does NOT like the *big* memory cards (aka 4GB) so it won't read the blasted thing (GRRRR!) so I've had to figure out how to attach the cable thingie to the camera and the computer and then figure out what "setting" the camera had to be on to get it to download to the computer....you get the picture (ha) =P So SHOCKINGLY enough I've done quite a few challenges ~ I just haven't gotten to pictures stuck on my blog before the deadlines...oh well!
So, this morning I hopped over to the JUGS blog and found a sketch challenge (YAY!) ~ here is the sketch:

Christmas ALL year long Magnolia-licious blog hop!
Welcome to the second Magnolia-licious Christmas all year long blog hop!
If you just happened upon my blog, you can start the hop at Julie's blog ~ if you arrived here from Leonie's blog, you are on the right track =)
Without further ado ~ here is my Christmas creation =)
I just love this stamp of Tilda! I used Smooch accent ink on her wings and paper pieced her dress ~ which was a little trickier than I anticipated since I wanted to keep the dress in one piece =) I don't think the picture shows it, (since it wasn't sunny out) but the dress and the paper that Tilda is matted on are both from the DCWV Glitter matstack, so they are *very* sparkly =)
And in case you are wondering, yes, that is real snow next to the card ~ when I went outside to snap a picture it was snowing! I can't say that I was all that happy to see it.....I'm ready for some weather that is sunny and ABOVE 50 degree ;-)

Thank you so much for hopping by! Your next stop is the talented Lori! I hope you enjoy the blog hop with all the wonderful Christmas images....maybe it will inspire a few early Christmas cards =)

Love & Hearts
I loved the sketch that was posted on the JUGS blog ~ I don't use a lot of circles in my cards, so it was fun to dig through my stash of stamps to find *the* one that would work perfectly =)
The sketch:
The card:
Valentina's bow and the ribbon on the box have both been paper-pieced with DCWV glitter matstack paper (LOVE it!) ~ I've discovered the more I paper-piece the more I appreciate a good sharp scissor with a sharp point! =)

Christmas ALL YEAR LONG blog hop!
To start at the beginning of the Magnolia-licious hop, please go here ~ if you came from Lauren's blog, you are on the right track =)
I thought that this sounded like such a GREAT idea ~ each month on the 25th we are doing a blog hop featuring a Christmas Magnolia image ~ here's hoping I can stay AHEAD of all the Christmas cards this year =)
So for the first card, I decided to use my favorite Tilda Christmas stamp ~ it is Tilda as Lucia. This is my favorite stamp because my grandfather came over from Sweden with his parents when he was 2 years old ~ and Lucia is a Swedish celebration is an annual festival of medieval origin, observed on the 13th of December. On this day, the darkness is brightened by Saint Lucia, a creature of goodness and light who opens the door to the Christmas season.
Sorry the picture is so dark ~ I take pictures outside and unfortunately it has been stormy here lately ~ but I'm not complaining too loudly because it was 48 (!!!!) degrees here today ~ for the middle of January in West Michigan that is pretty unheard of!
The red berries in her wreath are colored in with a red spica pen to make them sparkle ~ I also used a clear spica pen to add sparkles to Tilda's white dress.
Deets:
Stamp: Tilda as Lucia
DP: BG Eskimo Kisses, DCWV glitter matstack.
Ink: Memento Tuxedo black, Copics (E00,E18,E13,E17,E19,YR04,R37,G24,B21), Spicas (red, clear)
Embellisments: Doodlebug sugar-coated brad, CTMH pearls, Prima flowers.
Thanks so much for hopping by ~ next swing by Lori's blog and check out her beautiful Christmas card =)

Whimsical Wednesdays
Whimsical Wednesdays posted another sketch for this week =)
And here is my take on the sketch:
I moved the ribbon down below the image so you could see it...otherwise the image and the flowers covered it up...and it is practically a crime (at least in my world ~ ha!) to cover up ribbon! =P
Deets:
Stamp: Maisy Ketto
DP: Autumn Leaves MOD, Bazzill Swissdot cardstock
Ink: Memento Tuxedo black, Copics (Y23,E00,B91,E25,E35), Clear spica pen.
Embellishments: Crystal Stickles, misc. ribbon, Kaiser rhinetones, prima flowers.
