Something FUN!

I decided to try making ornaments for Christmas gifts. On my side of the family it is stricly HOMEMADE/HANDMADE gifts ONLY this year. One of my sistahs on SCS had an excellent blog post about how she made her ornament, so I gathered up my supplies ~ here is my first attempt:

Three Clovers, Friday Sketchers and the Corrosive Challenge!

Can you believe it?! I was able to get one sketch and two challenges into ONE card! I still can't believe it myself, I am not very creative when it comes to meshing challenges!
Anyway, at Three Clovers the challenge is to make a card using Blue, Silver and White, the Challenge over at Corrosive Challenge is Walking in a Winter Wonderland and the sketch is from Friday Sketchers (I rotated the sketch to fit with the image I used).
Since I was able to get so much accomplished with one card, let's hope I'm as fortunate to get many lay-outs done for my sister's wedding album! My goal is to have everything scrapped by her first wedding anniversary....which is December 20th! YIKES! I'd better get busy!
Here is my card:

Details:
Stamp: Snowman with Snowflake
Paper: BG Blitzen and Bazzill Bling
Copics: E29, E0000, BG01, YR68
Embellishments: Stickles (on the snowflake punches), Polar white flowersoft, ultrafine glitter (on the snowman's hat) Smooch accent ink (on the snowflake).
Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a peek at my latest creation =)

Friday Sketchers

Over at Friday Sketchers a new sketch is posted as well as some amazing cards from the DT.
This was a fun sketch to work with ~ I decided to make a 4x4 easel card.

Our "blizzard" inspired the theme ~ we've been in a blizzard warning since yesterday at 1pm ~ and last night it started to snow! And boy oh boy do we have snow! My two oldest boys have been out building an "igloo" but since it is a *balmy* 6 degrees out, they've been making frequent trips in to get some hot chocolate! =)
Details for the card:
Stamps: Agnes Ketto, Beautiful definition block
Paper: Cosmo Cricket Jolly by Golly and Bazzill cardstock.
Copics: E25, E00, RV34
Spicas: Pink, gold, turquoise
Embellishments: Stickles Star Dust, ultrafine glitter, Heidi Swapp snowflake ghost shape, Doodlebug sugar-coated brad in pink.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY STAMPING BELLA!

Welcome to the Bella Birthday Bash Blop Hop sponsored by Stamping Bella! If you've just happened upon my blog, you can CLICK HERE to start from the beginning at Bloggabella. If you just headed over here from Lisa's lovely blog you are on the right track =)
To wish Stamping Bella a HAPPY 3rd BIRTHDAY I made an easel card using CAKEABELLA and the CELEBRATE definition block is also from Stamping Bella (because today is a big day worth celebrating!) Yes that is SNOW in the background of the picture....over 13 inches fell in about 12 hours! My oldest son was thrilled that he had no school on Friday =)

This is the second easel card I've made and I have to admit ~ they are fun to do ~ not quite as intimidating as I first thought they were =) Although making a 4x4 card was a little challenging...I'm used to have a little bit more room to work with.
I added a little shimmer to the cake using liquid pearls and a spica pen (because Bella needs some sparkle and shine on her cake).

Deets:
Stamps: Cakeabella and Celebrate Definition Block
Cardstock: Bazzill Bling
DP: 3 Bugs in a Rug COCO line
Copics: E00,E99, RV11,E29,B39
Embellisments: Petal pink liquid pearls, ruby red liquid pearls, Smooch accent ink, pink Spica pen, Doodlebug sugar coated brads, misc. flower brad.

And I saved the best for last! =)
Three gift certificates for $100 in Bella Bucks will be hidden along the hop, but we’re not telling you where so be sure to leave some love as you hop!!! Make sure you leave comments on every post so you have a chance to win!! The winners will be announced on Monday, December 7 at the Stamping Bella Blog. MWAH!

Just Us Girls Challenge 8

JUGs (Just Us Girls) had a color challenge this week ~ the colors weree: Pumpkin Pie (which speaking of....guess what it going to be going in the oven in about an hour?? Yup TWO pumpkin pies!), Really Rust and Bashful Blue. In addition to the colors we needed to have a sentiment showing thanks (since today *IS* Thanksgiving) =)
So, here is my thankful, colorful creation =)

I paper pieced Tilda's dress using pumpkin pie, really rust and bashful blue colors (which also cordinate with the DP at the top of the card) ~ then I colored the rest using Copics (RV10, E25, G17, BG01, E00, E33, Y21, YR23) and added a little sparkle here and there using a lemon and gold Spica pen. I think this is probably one of my favorite Tilda stamps (if not my favorite) ~ sunflowers are my favorite flowers....that is one thing I miss.....there are no sunflower fields around here like there are back home where I grew up.
Hope ya'll have a VERY HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

PMS Blog Hop

PMS is having a blog hop ~ you can go here to see the list of participants and *hop* along to the different blogs =)

This is one of my favorite PMS stamps I have ~ probably because I like dandelions (yes I'm one of those *odd* people that don't see dandelions as weeds)

Details:
Stamps: Kirsten
Paper: BG lime Rickey (one of my favorites if my *the* favorite BG lines) =)
Copics: E00, E25, E33, RV10, RV23, Y11, G17, BG05

Bellarific Friday!

Tomorrow is Friday ~ and what does that mean?? Why it is Bellarific Friday! This week the challenge was to create anything using any of the "Bella" stamps. So I thought it would be fun to do a "Black Friday Bella" ~ and this is what I came up with:

It looks like Bella has a start on her Christmas shopping huh?! =) I paper pieced the bag to give it a little extra something.
Details:
Stamp: Elizabella
Paper: 3 Bugs in a Rug ~ Color Me Pink
Copics: RV11, E00, E33, G21
Embellishment: Icicle Stickles

Stamp: Curly Surpriseabella
Paper: BG Obscure

Friday Sketchers!

A new sketch was posted on Friday over at Friday Sketchers
When I first saw this sketch I was intimidated! I didn't even know where to start with it! So I finally decided if I could pick out a stamp, then the rest of the sketch should fall into place ~ and it did! I used a punch to make the snowflakes and then covered with with stickles so they would sparkle.

Deets:
Stamp: Tilda and Edwin Skating
DP: BG Blitzen
Ribbon: Bo Bunny
Copics: RV10, E25, E00, Y11, R29, B95, B97, G17, C-1
Embellisments: Diamond Stickles, snowflake punches.
Thanks for stopping by! =)

Cute Card Thursday =)

Over at Cute Card Thursday, their challenge is to "Glitter Me Silly" ~ which is a challenge I LOVE! I'm always up for a little glitter, sparkle and bling =)

The stamp I chose to use is from Paper Make-up Stamps ~ her name is Katie. Katie is colored with copics (RV11, BV00, E00, G24, Y21, E57) and has been glittered and sparkled with Spica pens (I used the lemon spica pen in her hair, the purple spica pen on her clothes and her compact is completely sparkly thanks to the pink spica pen) and Stickles ~ her wings have crystal stickles on them, making them sparkle and glitter in the sun =) The DP is BG Wisteria, the flower is a prima flower that has some crystal stickles on it and a Kaiser purple rhineston in the center and the inside of this card says, "You are beautiful inside and out"
Thanks for stopping by to take a peek at my latest creation =)

3 Clovers Thursday Challenge #39

The Challenge at 3 Clovers Thursday this week is Birds or Bugs ~ and it was definitely a challenge for me! I don't own very many bird or bug type stamps, but I DID remember my sister picking up this stamp and asking me to make her a card with it...and guess what?? It was a BUG stamp! So it all worked out in the end =)
Here is my bug card:

DP is BG June Bug paper, stamp is from Daisy Bucket and the bug was colored with Copic markers (G24, RV23, R37) and the black circles were colored in with a black Spica pen to give them some sparkle =)
Thanks for looking!

Mojo Monday

Here is the sketch this week over at Mojo ~ I have to admit, this one took awhile for me to decide what I wanted to do and how to do it!
Since it is almost the middle of November, I decided that it wouldn't be *too* awful if I made a snowflake card (even though I'm hoping we don't see any of that white fluffy stuff until well into December.....hey a girl can dream can't she?)
So ~ this is what I came up with!

I didn't make the snowflake (although I wish I did!) ~ it was a gift from a friend =)
The paper is BG Blitzen, and both the ribbon and button are misc. ones I had stashed away just waiting for the *perfect* card =)

Card Patterns & Bellarific Friday!

I was able to combine 2 challenges into one card (which is unusual for me) ~ here is my creation using the sketch from card patterns and the "anything goes" theme for the Bellarific Friday Challenge.
Here's the sketch:

Ahd here is the card:

The deets for the card are ~ DP = BG Lemonade and the copics used are: E25, E32, E57, E00, B21, B97, G24, RV34, RV10, Y21. The ribbon is misc. ribbon I had in my ribbon box. The image and sentiment are from Stamping Bella.

Dashing Through the Snow

Here is a lay-out that I just finished ~ the pictures were taken last year on Christmas Day when we bundled up and went for a sled ride. It was so much fun and I think the boys had a blast ~ even though it was c-c-c-cold out!
The DP is BG ~ the rub-on title is also from BG, and the snowflakes and felt snowflakes from Queen and Co.

A Kiss To Build A Dream On

This is another wedding lay-out for my sister and her husband.
I love that the picture is in black and white =)
All the cardstock on this lay-out is Bazzill Bling ~ I'm not sure if you can see it or not, but there is a soft shimmer to the whole lay-out because of the bling =)
The rhinestone heart is from BG and the black pearls are from Kaiser.

Some Recent Cards

I haven't posted in a few months....well, OK almost 5 months ~ a LOT has happened in those 5 months and unfortunately that means very little crafting and creating has been done.
But in the past couple weeks I've started to work on cards and lay-outs again.

Queen For A Day is such a fun stamp from Stamping Bella. The inside says, "You deserve to be...queen for a day" =) The image has been colored with Copics (B21, E00, B97, Y11, RV23, E35) and Spica pens (pink and yellow) to add a bit of sparkle. The DP is BG Obscure, and cardstock is Bazzill cardstock that I embossed using a cuttlebug embossing folder.

Here is another Queen card ~ this one was made using the BG Lemonade line, the image was colored with Copics (B21, BG05, E00, Y11, E99, B97, RV34) and Spica pens (gold, yellow and pink). I had fun making a couple cards using a round image instead of the usual square or rectangular ones =)

Flowahbella is the star of this next card. She was colored with Copics and the flowers have been embellished with flowersoft and a spica pen. The DP is BG Obscure.

I did some paper piecing on Suzette's skirt ~ once I realized how simple it was to paper piece, I want to paper piece EVERYTHING (ha!). Suzette has been colored with Copics and Spicas. The paper is BG Wisteria line.

This is one of my newer stamps ~ and I LOVE it....I guess it is probaby because I can related to Betty the Bookworm ~ I LOVE to read! =)
I used Lime Rickey paper from BG (one of my *fave* lines!) ~ and Betty has been colored with Copics (B21, E99, E00, R29, RV10, Y11, YR07, YG11, B39) and her glasses were colored with a red spica pen ~ I thought she needed a little sparkle =)

This is another newer stamp ~ isn't it darling? Her name is Presley and she is part of the Lollipop family. She was colored with Copics and Spicas and the DP is BG Bittersweet.

This stamp is from Paper Make-up Stamps (aka PMS) =)
Her name is Sprout and she has been colord with Copics and Spica pens and has stickles on her wings to make them glittery. I'm trying to remember which DP I used....I think it was from the BG Junebug line.

Card Patterns

Card Patterns put up a new sketch on Monday and I finished up my card last night.
I used one of my favorite stamps ~ Women's Delight by Whiff of Joy (isn't this line of stamps so sweet?!?)

Both the image and sentiment are from the Women's Delight line. And the image has been colored with Copics (E00, E25, E33, BG01, R37, Y11) and sparkle was added using Spica pens (Red, Gold & Turquoise). All the DP is Fancy Pants, the flower is a Prima flower and the rhinestone is a misc. rhinestone.
I had to hop on real quick and get this posted before the deadline passed ~ now I have to get back to decorating cakes! I've been baking cakes all morning and now I am to the frosting and assembling stage....we are having a birthday party tomorrow for my youngest two sons, who celebrate birthdays one day apart! (well, three years and one day).
Hope ya'll have a wonderful weekend! Stay cool (if you can!) :o)

In honor of Bella Em's birthday I made a birthday card using Curly Surpriseabella ~ I think she is my favorite birthday bella (shhhh ~ don't tell the other bellas though!)

The sketch is from Friday Sketchers. Curly Surpriseabella has been colored with Copics (G14, E33, E00, RV02) and some sparkle has been added with the Melon Spica pen (I took this picture in direct sunlight hoping to capture the sparkles) ~ The DP is all from 3 Bugs in a Rug Color me Pink line ~ and all three of the gifts have been paper pieced using the same paper :o). The flowers are Prima flowers and the cute little lime green gems (LOVE lime green!) are from Doodlebug.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Now it's time to hop on over to the very talented Dana's blog!

Stamping Bella Bellarific Friday!

Stamping Bella has listed a new sketch!
This is the other card that I finished up today while hibernating in the coolness of my scrap room, which is in the basement....although once I finish posting this I have to head outside to fill the boys' little pool so they can splash around some.
Sooooo ~ I'd better get a move on it!
Here is the sketch:

Aaaaand my interpretation of it :o)

I took this picture in direct sunlight (because today we have a LOT of sun!) and I was able to capture some of the sparkles in Sake's hair from the black Spica pen :o)
She has been colored with Copics (E00, Y02, BG01) and paper pieced using Baic Grey's Lime Rickey paper. All the DP used is Basic Grey and the patterned paper is from the Lime Rickey Collection. The lime green cardstock is from Bazzill and everything has been distressed using Colorbox Chalk in Rouge.
So there is my summery take on the Stamping Bella sketch :o)
Hope you are enjoying the sunshine and staying cool! :o)

PMS Monday

Over at the Paper Makeup Stamps blog aka PMS blog a new sketch was put up yesterday.
So today since it is a bazillion degrees out (well, maybe that is a *slight* exaggeration ~ it is 92, but FEELS like a bazillion ~ HA!) I decided it would be a good day to hide out in the basement in my scrap room and work on some sketches.
Here is the sketch:

And here is my card:

I took a picture in direct sunlight, so you can see the Smooch Accent Ink on her wings :o)
The stamp is Katie and she is colored with Copics (RV02, RV10, RV23, Y11, Y21, G14, E00, C-1) and the glitter is from a silver Spica pen and a pink Spica pen. The DP is all from 3 Bugs in a Rug Color Me Pink line and the rhinestones are from Kaiser.
Thanks for stopping by ~ hope you are staying cool! :o)

It's Mojo Monday Again!

And this time I was able to get the sketch done in a timely manner :o)
Here is the sketch that was posted:

It was definitely a challenge for me because I am used to making the "regular" sized cards, so this required me to think and work outside of my "normal" cardmaking mode.

This is what I did with it. All the DP is from 3 Bugs in a Rug 'Color Me Pink' line ~ the paper is a little wilder than what I normally pick, but I had fun getting it all to work together.
Two of the gifts have been paper pieced using the 3 Bugs DP ~ the image and the sentiment are from Stamping Bella and Curly Surpriseabella has been colored with Copics (RV10, G14, B95, E00, Y21) and a little bling has been added to the green bow thanks to the lime Spica pen :o) The ribbon is misc. ribbon and the pink brad is a Doodlebug sugar covered brad (love 'em!).
Thanks so much for swinging by for a peek :o)

Card Pattern 19

Card Patterns has a new sketch up for this week.
I had a lot of fun with this sketch ~

I got out Tilda and inked her up for a Father's Day card that I will be popping in the mail this week for my dad :o)

Tilda's scarf and one pocket are paper pieced with Autumn Leaves dp ~ actually all the dp I used was from the Autumn Leaves MOD line. She has been colored with Copics (Y21, E25, E57, E37, C-1, B93, B95, RV10, R24) and her wings are painted with Smooch accent ink and given a little sparkle with Star dust Stickles. The ribbon and red heart button are misc. ones I had around my scrap room and I can't remember where the flower-shaped eyelets are from (it has been a LONG time since i last used eyelets!)
Thank you so much for stopping by :o)

Mojo Monday

Mojo Monday once again had a great sketch up ~ you can swing by their blog to have a peek at it as well as to see some amazing cards created by their DT.
Here is my take on their weekly sketch:

I used Sake Ketto from Stamping Bella (isn't she cute?) ~ the sentiment is from Stamping Bella as well. She is inked up with Memento Tuxedo Black (which works fabulously if you use Copics...HIGHLY recommend that ink pad!) and colored with Copics (E00, YR07, G14, E33, B93). The dp is Chatterbox and the cardstock is Bazzill Bling (love the slight shimmer it has).
Thanks so much for taking a peek at my latest creation :o)

I have a CASE of PMS

Don't you just love the title?? LOL! I finished another challenge for the PMS release party. This challenge was to CASE one of the PMS cards on the Splitcoast Stampers forum.
This is the card I CASE'D.

I don't have any PMS stamps yet, so I used Suzette Ketto instead.
Both Suzette and the sentiment are from Stamping Bella. Both are inked with Memento Tuxedo Black and Colorbox Chalk Rouge ink. All the dp paper is Basic Grey Lime Rickey (have I mentioned how much I *love* this collection?) and Suzette has been colored with Copics (RV06, BG01, E00) and paper pieced with BG Lime Rickey paper. The petals on the flowers have been colored with a turquoise Spica pen (so they are sparkly!), the flower is a Prima Flower, the pink rhinestone is from Kaiser, the button is a misc. button that has been tied with Karen Foster's Scrapper's Floss (another product I love).
Sorry the picture is so dark ~ we have been lacking in the sun dept. quite a bit this week :o(
Thanks for stopping by to check out my CASE of PMS :o)

2 Challenges ~ 1 Card

I am not that great at combining more than one challenge into a card ~ I don't know why that is, but it just is! :-P
So I am feeling mighty proud of myself that I was able to squeeze two challenges onto one card :o)
The challenges are paper-pieceing from Three Clovers Thursday Challenge and the Bella Twisted Challenge on Splitcoast Stampers, which was to use a specific sketch and the colors red, white and blue (in honor of Flag Day).
Here is what I came up with ~

I took a picture with and without flash. The stamp I used is Suzette Ketto from Stamping Bella. She is inked in Memento Tuxedo Black and edged with Colorbox Chalk Prussian Blue. She is colored with Copics (R29, B95, E00) and has some sparkle on her flower petals (in her hair) thanks to a red Spica pen.
The dp is Basic Grey and Autumn Leaves (her dress has been paper pieced with AL and the pinwheel was made using AL dp also) and the red cardstock is Bazzill. The bling at the center of her pinwheel is a Kaiser rhinestone. Oh, and the sentiment is also from Stamping Bella. :o)
Thanks for stopping by and having a peek at my latest creation! :o)

Sketch 18

Card Patterns posted a new sketch for the week.

When I saw this sketch I *knew* which stamp I wanted to use!

I got out my Javabellas stamp and inked it up! I had the perfect paper to go with it (Flair Designs)~ it has coffee cups, coffee beans and coffee sayings all over it! And to top it off it is scented with Coffee Scent My Cards ~ so it smells just like the real deal :o)
The image is colored with Copics (E00, YG09, B60, B95, E33, E57, Y11, RVo6, RV23, R29), the dp is Flair Designs, Bazzill and Dream St. (one Bella has been paper pieced with Dream St. paper), flower is Prima and the pink brad in the center is a Doodlebug Dugar coated brad. Bling has been added to the card using Spica pens (yellow, red and silver) and Kaiser rhinestones. The ric rac belonged to my husband's great grandmother :o)
Thanks for stopping by :o)

Bellarific Friday Sketch

Over at Stamping Bella they have the Bellarific Friday Sketch posted. So I took advantage of two of my three boys being gone today and worked on a few different challenges :o)
Without further ado ~

The Sketch ~

My Card ~
I used Lucy Ketto and inked her up with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and stamped her on some lovely Neenah paper. She is colored with Copics (G14,E00, Y02), paper pieced using Lime Rickey paper (which is also the dp paper used for this card) and her wings are painted using Smooch accent ink. The sentiment is from Basic Grey and the rhinestone flower is from MAMBI. I highlighted her hair using a black spica pen and her yellow clips in her hair have added sparkle thanks to the lemon spica pen. The ribbon is misc. ribbon from my ribbon bin :o)
I had a blast making this card....probably because it is mostly yellow (my most favorite color) and lime green (another favorite color). :o)

PMS Challenge

Yes, you read correctly ~ PMS challenge....and no it is NOT what you are thinking ~ LOL! Paper Makeup Stamps (aka PMS) had a release party this past weekend and during the party three challenges were posted. So far I have finished one of the three challenges ~ and here it is!

The Sketch

The Card :o)
This is going to be a Father's Day card ~ My husband is giving it to his dad for Father's Day.
I used a Magnolia stamp (Edwin sitting), embellished his wings with Crystal Stickles and colored him with Copics (C-1, B95, B93, Y11, E25, E57, E0000, E00, B60, RV10) and the dp is Dream St.
Now I just need to get the other two challenges done :o)
