During Naptime.....

I was able to make four more cards! These all were made using the Bella stamps (can you tell I like them?!?) :o) And I was able to use up some more odds 'n' ends from my scrap pile.

Trying Something New!

I decided it was high time that I started using some of my scraps from all the lay-outs I've done......so I did it....I bit the bullet and tried my hand at making a couple of cards. I used some of my favorite stamps ~ Bellas! And now that I've tried it, by george I think I like it! I have to admit I am pretty thrilled to find a use for all those squares and scraps of paper that were just "too big" to throw away, yet too small to use in most lay-outs. I think I shall making a couple more cards today when the boys go down for their naps ~ but for now, here are the four that I made yesterday ~ supahbella (it says, "You're Super!" on the card and two huggybella cards.

Starting on Christmas presents!

Yes! It is true! I am starting on Christmas presents already ~ even though it is only the beginning of March! For Christmas my parents, my in-laws and my sister usually get a 12x12 calendar ~ but it isn't just *any* 12x12 calendar, it is one that I have scrapped for them. I gather pictures of the boys with each set of grandparents (and Auntie) and scrapbook those pictures into 12 lay-outs. It sounds relatively painless, but it is quite time-consuming, so I like to get an early start on them so I can make sure I put my best effort into them. On my side of the family we have adopted a "homemade Christmas" kind of theme...we are going to make our Christmas presents for each other instead of buying them ~ which I LOVE that idea! And a handmade scrapbooked calendar fits into that theme perfectly ;o)
So, here is a sneak peek at what will be in those calendars!
This one is for my parents. It is my dad and two of my sons (one is sleeping) at my sister's wedding dance.

Lay-out for my youngest son

And here is a lay-out I completed for my youngest son. He was just enamored with the little Christmas tree we stuck in his older brothers' room for their "night light" at Christmastime.

Lay-out for my oldest son

Of all three of my boys, my oldest has the most lay-outs completed (imagine that!) but I am still quite behind.....one of these days I will get caught up....just not sure what day that is ~ ha ha!

Lay-outs for my middle son

I have been so busy working on lay-outs and projects for other people, that the poor boys' scrapbooks are YEARS behind...sad but true!
I did manage to sneak a couple of lay-outs in for each of the boys though on my scrapping weekend (last weekend).
Here are a few lay-outs that I did for my middle son (as you can tell I didn't exactly scrap chronologically) :o)

This is one of my favorite pictures of him when he was little.
